Artwork description:
The Yin Yang series is themed on the concept of duality, for which Reza Hasni collaborated with Bali-based artist, Degeha. The visual landscape creates a ping-pong of energies that are both masculine and feminine, bold and vulnerable and inner and outer. The artwork was built over an extended period of 4 weeks, with each artist working remotely to add a new layer in response to the other.
Commenting on the process of creating in isolation due to the coronavirus, Reza said, “We often find ourselves in the same situation, but perceiving and experiencing different things.” The duo have two prints as part of the Yin Yang series - Yin Yang I and II.
